I can't make a critique, I am painter and a very bad photographer, your work is very good.
I love these close up photos with insects.

You are very welcome, I am always impressed by beautiful photos, very inspiring. I try to do my best with my camera when I walk in a city, but it is not good enough to share it.... but good to paint ;) I had to change a lot of things when I paint from my photos, composition, colors, atmosphere etc... it is interesting to do it with brushes on canvas.

Your entire gallery is fantastic, a riot of colour in all its natural glory. You see things that many people fail to notice. Your gift is the ability to draw our attention to the smallest of life's details. This photograph is a perfect example. A dragonfly maybe just a few hours old after emerging from its larvae at the bottom of the pool. You are probably just catching her opening both pairs of her delicate but immensely powerful wings for the first time. She may only have a few hours before she is killed by a predator but her priority is to find a mate and lay eggs so that her offspring can survive another generation. This is her life and her species have been doing this for millions of years. Years spent at the bottom of a pool as a grub before gaining the strength to emerge from the depths and then soar into the blue yonder. Life is but a series of fleeting moments and opportunities.  Thankyou for sharing this. :)
